SMD (Surface Mount Device) Resistors of the 1206 Size are also known as Chip Resistors and are produced utilising Surface Mount Technology (SMT). They are rectangular in shape and larger in size than SMD Resistors in the 0805, 0603, 0402, and 0201 package types. Chip resistors feature metalized regions on either end of the body, which allows them to connect with the printed circuit board using solder. SMD Resistor codes, often known as three- or four-digit codes, are used to identify the resistance levels of these tiny chips. -55 °C to +155 °C is the operating temperature range. 200V is the maximum operating voltage.
